How do celebrities get perfect white smiles?

Let whoever tries to deny it cast the first stone (there can’t be many that would). Hollywood stars have several beauty tricks up their sleeves to ensure they’re red-carpet ready and picture-perfect at events like the Oscars or Grammys. Want the same perfect Hollywood smile? Keep reading and take note.

At Casanova25 Barcelona we’re experts in dental aesthetics, offering our patients a range of dental caps and veneers for a bright new smile. These dental veneers are designed to solve aesthetic issues with natural teeth. These treatments require heathy teeth; if they aren’t, another type of dental treatment should be considered. Dental veneers can also be used to cover teeth stains caused by tobacco or foods like coffee.

What are dental veneers used for?

Like we said, dental veneers are designed to cover dental imperfections. These can include:

  • Enlarge extremely small teeth.
  • Correct shape of short or misaligned teeth.
  • Cover broken or damaged teeth due to age.

What are the different types of dental veneers?

There are a range of dental veneers on the market, which we can categorize into two large groups: porcelain veneers and composite veneers. And now a third type of veneers, lithium disilicate ceramic veneers, are becoming increasingly popular.

Composite (or bonded) veneers can be applied directly on the tooth and modeled to the correct shape, or they can be made in a dental laboratory. These veneers are the fastest type to place and are cheaper than their counterparts, but the quality is also poorer than porcelain veneers and can stain or even break over time.

In contrast, porcelain veneers are pre-manufactured in the lab and then placed on the tooth. Made from higher quality material, the results are better than composite veneers and offer a more natural smile, although it is also a more expensive option.

Lithium disilicate ceramic veneers is one of the best options for aesthetic restorations. Lithium disilicate is a ceramic material made from a glass nucleation and crystallization process. The lithium disilicate ceramic we use for aesthetic treatments is called E-max.

This material is used in the dental lab, often in combination with CAD/CAM technology.

It is extremely resistant, durable, and easy to use, making it a great long-term solution. The material also sculpts perfectly to the gum’s anatomy.

Lithium disilicate is translucent and comes in a natural shade for a high-quality aesthetic result.

When is it indicated?

Lithium disilicate is indicated in a range of treatments, including:

  • Thin veneers (approximately 0.3 mm thick).
  • Inlays. Minimally invasive inlays and onlays.
  • Anterior and posterior crowns on natural teeth and crowns on implants.
  • Fixed prosthesis. Anterior bridges and even premolars.

These prostheses optimize patients' aesthetic expectations and provide more functional, resistant, and customizable benefits.
