What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic technique which uses practically invisible aligners to correct the position of your teeth and give you smile you've always dreamed of. Using advanced 3D computer-imaging technology, a representation is made of the entire treatment plan based on the prescription from your SPECIALISED ORTHODONTIST WHO HAS BEEN TRAINED IN INVISALIGN, from the initial position of your teeth through to the final desired position. A series of clear aligners are then custom-made for your teeth to move them little by little. These invisible aligners are worn for two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series, and gradually move the teeth until they reach the final desired position. Your Invisalign treatment time will be determined by your ORTHODONTIST in accordance with your needs.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are clear. Nobody will know you are wearing them because they are practically invisible, meaning that Invisalign adapts seamlessly to your lifestyle and day-to-day interaction with others.

Invisalign aligners are removable. Unlike other types of devices such as fixed metal brackets, with this invisible orthodontic technique you will enjoy the flexibility of eating and drinking what you like throughout the treatment period simply by removing your invisible aligners. You can also take them out to brush your teeth and use dental floss like you normally would for fresh breath and to maintain good oral hygiene.

Unlike traditional fixed braces, there are no metal brackets or wires. This means that, in most cases, you will spend less time at the orthodontist’s having the necessary adjustments made during the treatment.

Finally, Invisalign allows you to view your results and the virtual treatment plan even before you begin the treatment, so you can see what your teeth will look like when the treatment ends.
